  300 Miles, the Oomaka Tokatakiya

These images cover the Oomaka Tokatakiya, Future Generations Ride from 2004-2016.
The memorial ride, run by Lakota Tribes in North and South Dakota, travels nearly three hundred miles.
It starts at the sight of Sitting Bull's death, and ends at the site of the Wounded Knee massacre.
This project led to the creation of the Future Generations Teen Photojournalism Project, teaching photography to Reservation teens on the ride.
This project was partially funded by the Society for Photographic Education, and the Sidney Stern Memorial Trust.
